[DCS] M-2000C - CCIP bombing tutorial
I started playing DCS last week and was having this really nasty stuttering every 4 or 5 secs, to the point it was simply unplayable. I know I have a mid-tier PC, but anyways I searched all over the web for fixes and realized it's a pretty common issue even on very high-end machines. Tried all suggestions and fixes and nothing worked until I just bought an NVMe SSD disk and installed the game there. I was running the game from an HDD. No more stutters, even with all graphics cranked to the max I get solid 50/60 fps with zero stutters. The game now runs perfect. It's mindblowing how easy it was to fix the problem (not cheap though lol). My specs are: - Ryzen 5 2600X - GTX 1660 Ti (6GB) - 32Gb DDR4 Ram - NVMe SSD WD_Black SN770 1TB
Great vid! I just started flying the "Dorito" and love it. Is that a mod your using to show time and fuel? Keep up the good work!
I have an Permanent and faster solution in general, Hold Windows logo + R > type "msconfig" and hit "enter" >> click "Boot" >> Open "Advanced Options" >> Tick "Number of Processors" >> Choose the highest number which means "all cores" >> Click "ok" >> Apply >> choose "Restart the Computer now" done. Basically thing we're doing in here is the same thing at the video "3:05". Instead of doing one by one for every other task, we're just setting this option as a default.
Hey mate, thanks for the video it's always fascinating to learn about all the little indications and functions on the instruments (if you're a certain kind of nerd). Beautiful flying too, and I could hear your audio fine, BTW. Just one thing - I think you're using the wrong end of the course needle to set your RSBN radial - that's why your course correction lines are backwards - if you are to the right of your intended course (need to turn left to get back on course) the lines on the ADI and NPP are to the right instead of the left. I did the same thing for ages and it bugged me why the RSBN course line was backwards whereas the PRMG course lines were "normal". So I actually read the manual (last resort) - on page 54 it tells you which end of the needles is the head or tail.
Extremely well made explanation, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much!
Were these videos privated due to them being out of date, or what?
Hi, Thanks for getting in touch. No, the idea was that these videos are pretty specific and they would be accessible from the overlay-links in this video. People that aren't into the Gazelle would not have seen them spammed in their feed. It seems that today the overlay-links do no longer work and they are only accessible from the links in the description or the playlist. Unfortunately I have not been following the recent updates on the Gazelle, so I am not 100% sure how accurate these videos are today unfortunately. Best regards, John
"This video is probably obsolete" Me rewatching this video for the n-time 6 years later because this is the best series about the viggen ever made 😄🙏
When I turn on the radar I do not get ground clutter or anything displayed. I can see the backlighting comes on but no ground clutter?
Thanks mate your only one that has explained this properly, I was hardly hitting any but I wasnt doing some of the things you just explained
What happened to ya dog you got me good at the viggen you still post on other accounts or sum?
my problem is that it will be just fine, then at the worst possible time, screen completely freezes... this sounds like what it is... I hop it fixes. I just messed up a multi wing, multi airframe formation photo op with my group.
6 years later valuable information
Top👍👍
7 years later Gazelle gets a rewritten flight model. Trimmer and Autopilot changed?
i can never get my missile to launch, any idea why? i have the waypoints and everything
best guide on the subject, thank you
I love you
Good work john. 👍🏼
it does the same thing even with the latest and greatest asp3d (v4/v5) right
Great tutorial!
thank you for the detailed explanation and effort tas and now 🤗🤗👌👌
Oh boy... It has been already a 7 years. And I have not flown this plane properly for 3-4 years! Just came here to check the basics for navigation and was shocked that this is still the best one there is. While my flying is these days mainly for just sight seeing or training the specific maneuvers, the L-39 has really made it fun experience. Even when I first almost promised myself that I never buy any trainer in DCS. There is so much fun to fly the plan, and do it right. No fooling around, no HUD telling you where to point your nose etc. Yak-52 is similar but even simpler. And I so wish that someone would do the Cessna 172 to the DCS, so we can finally get proper aircraft to show flight dynamics quality among industry simulators!
Thanks for your comment! Can‘t believe it has been 7 years since making this video! Sometimes the most hands-on aircraft are the most fun to fly! No fancy avionics, computers or other shenanigans…
Do you know how i ca map my ALT C function to my middle mouse in gazelle.... I use it to switch quickly between mouselook and clicking because i cant use track IR
You can also leave the Course Angle (Map Angle) at 0°, so your Lateral Deviation (Drift Angle) is your east-west movement and your Distance (Flight Path) is your north-south movement. Real aircraft Doppler nav systems sometimes had this as a specific feature. Works better in flat-earth DCS than IRL though. Set your Course Angle to "magnetic heading for north direction in your MGRS grid" and preset your deviation and distance to your starting MGRS position… and your Doppler system will track your position in MGRS coordinates :)
Thanks for the great info on both of your comments! Appriciated!
Sometimes I will have 8 Shturm missiles but I only can fire 4 of them, them it says 'Out of Missiles'. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Do I need to chance something in order to select the other missiles?
Thanks so much for sharing this awesome tutorial
Just started trying to learn this module. Yours is one of the best nav tutorial videos i've found for the Vigg. Subb'd. Please do some more :)
The little bits that you have explained helped me out in the last missing switch or understanding it. Thanks
Me who is managing it in 10-20fps
ich wusste doch von anfang an das du deutscher bist 😆 der akzent ist nicht zu überhören 😆 trotzdem gutes video, danke!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Now that was one heck of a pattern tutorial. A big thank you! I learned things I did not know.
great explanation of the radio compass: made total sense once I understood that it's pointing to clock directions and not the actual compass
TLTW: lockind DCS to phisical cores (not using hyperthreading) removes stuttering. Here, I said the same but didn't need 5 minutes for that. Don't thank me.😃
👏👏👏👏
Thanks for this. In the training and in the manual, it reads as if you release the cage key before pushing the weapons release button. I now get it
R u German
How to make m1 back to b1?
vor to/from is the same ifr theory but different representation :-) you fly on radial inbound 090 you select 270 radial toward on display
Just starting out in the MiG-21 (again), and these tutorials are great! Always looking for new content as DCS updates can mess up older version info, but yours are still relevant and very helpful.
doesnt work wtf what did you do now in the mission editor without telling me
how did u find information to make a tutorial like i cant even find the inputs for rb15 search modes
neither way works for me. Guess i cant fly the viggen
Thanks, very helpful! Surprisingly quite a capable radar , with all those filters, for it's time.
It wasn't until watching this video I learned the auto-hover etc aren't autopilot functions but are simulations of a human pilot following instructions…! I just wish there were annunciators for the other autopilot modes.
How did you turn the mirrors off?
Like
How have you got all that fuel!
extra fuel tank on the bottom of aircraft
@@jungletroll3844 Yes I have that also but dont have as much fuel as you
I've become somewhat addicted to flying the gazelle. Just so capable.
Don’t forget that the cannon on the KA-50 is the same cannon used by the BMP-2
